Scholarships

The Old Cottonians’ Association envisions a world where education remains accessible to boys from diverse backgrounds, even as school fees rise. We recognize that capable families from all walks of life—including those with members serving in the armed forces, public sector, education, or other salaried professions—may need support to ensure their sons can continue their education at Cottonian institutions. To respond to this need, the OCA established a Scholarship and Bursary program to provide targeted financial assistance.

Scholarships and Bursaries

Scholarships are endowments created to fund academic awards and are established or augmented by individuals or groups united by a philanthropic purpose. Donors may initiate a new scholarship or contribute to an existing OCA bursary to support deserving students.

Scholarship Mandate

The OCA Scholarship program offers means-based support to legacy students studying at Cottonian schools. Scholarships are awarded through a transparent process. A student qualifies for OCA Scholarship consideration if they are a recipient of a school scholarship for the current academic year. Once a student has been granted a school scholarship, they become eligible to apply for OCA Scholarship support.

Post-School Scholarship Mandate

The OCA Post-School Scholarship Fund was established to assist alumni with higher education. This fund provides means-based support for college education. The eligibility criterion is that the student must have studied at the school on a full scholarship. Due to the current size of the corpus, the OCA supports alumni seeking undergraduate study in India and, where possible, within the country.
